Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd then went on to beat three times in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first minute. Ladd went back to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous vote, leaving an ominous mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in one round with a TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: Aspen won the following match in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy with a TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd defeated Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a ground-and-- - hit her for the TKO victory in the 2nd round. Then, in her third fight she defeated Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received the reward for her performance on the night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's had in a major way. Ladd took home the fight of the night bonus after both fighters fought hard in a tense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. in the 3rd round on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a loss by majority decision.
